Safeguarding:
At Bentley, Binsted and Froyle, we take safeguarding very seriously and the PCCs have adopted the House of Bishop's parish safeguarding handbook, Promoting a Safer Church, which you can see below. Further safeguarding documents can be found on the Winchester Diocese website. Our volunteers are safely recruited and have valid DBS checks. We update their DBS certificates on a regular basis and anyone working with children or vulnerable adults will have a lanyard with their name and photo. Safeguarding children, young people and adults experiencing, or at risk of abuse or neglect is the responsibility of us all whether they are in the communities in which we live or part of our Christian family.
If you have a concern regarding a child, young person or adult who may be at risk of harm, or you would like more information regarding DBS checks, please speak to our Benefice Safeguarding Administrator, Gemma Ball 01420 23339 or email safeguarding@benbinfro.co.uk. Or, please contact your respective Parish Safeguarding Officer for your church:
