At Bentley Church, children's teaching is offered on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the month. These services start at 9.30 am and the children and young people leave the service for their groups during the first hymn/song. Children usually return to the service in time for Communion (week 4) with their family. These services always end in a social way with delicious cake, coffee and soft drinks.
Crèche Group: (up to 4+)
Babies and toddlers up to the age of four or five (or when they go to school) can go to a staffed crèche in the church hall. This has many toys and there is colouring to do.
Infant Children’s Church Teaching Group: Reception – Year 2
There is a dedicated teacher and at least one helper. These children hear stories from the Bible, play games, do craft and colouring. Sometimes they also do drama and sing songs as part of the lesson.
Junior Children’s Church Teaching Group: Year 3 – Year 5
Children of school year 3 to year 5 join our Junior Children’s Church group. They enjoy tailored Bible based lesson and fun activities, games and quizzes suitable for their age.
Stepping Up: Year 6+
Year 6 and upwards join this group. They study the Bible, have discussions and try to understand the Christian faith in relation to issues relevant to their age group.
If you do not know where to go, ask anyone with a Children's Church lanyard and they can point you in the right direction.
An offering is taken at our Children's Church groups and these funds are used to sponsor a child called Francis who lives in Uganda. Please click here to find out more.
